Sweet & Smoky Mustard Pulled Chicken is the perfect blend of flavours to make an unforgettable pulled chicken sandwich
I was so organized yesterday. I made a grocery list, dropped off the kids at a playdate, made it to the grocery store with my littlest one, and got all my groceries. As I’m just about at the checkout I realize I forgot something.
This ALWAYS happens to me.
So I head back to the produce department, where I run into the boys’ piano teacher. We chat for a few minutes about how grocery shopping is such a pain sometimes. I tell her about this amazing grocery store in Minneapolis I went to that you can shop online from. You add items to your cart just like in the real life store. You checkout online and then you pull up to a drive thru to pick up your order!!!
A DRIVE THRU!!! (enter heavenly song)
We both talk about how amazing this concept is and how we’d love to have it in our town. We finish chatting and part ways. It’s at that moment that I realize my wish for this grocery store has only gotten stronger. I totally forgot what I needed, and I was done with zig zagging around the store so I left.
Point proven. If you bring a grocery store to my town where I can drive thru and pick up my order without going in, you’re my hero!
I want to grocery shop in my pyjamas on my couch. I don’t think that’s too much to ask. Why can’t I have a drive through grocery store near me?? 🙁
Anyhow, on to something that makes me happy. My house has been smelling divine all day long. These Sweet & Smoky Mustard Pulled Chicken sandwiches turned out better than I could have imagined and you’re going to love this recipe.
All you have to do is place the chicken breasts in the crock pot…
Make a batch of my Sweet & Smoky Mustard Barbecue Sauce…. (when I first tasted the sauce it had a kick to it, but that mellows out after its been cooking for a while)
Pour about 3/4 of it over the chicken…..
Let it cook on high 3-4 hours or low 8-10 hours…
Shred the chicken up with a fork or two forks and add the rest of the sauce.
P.S I’m sure that using pork would work just as well. 🙂
